On Thursday May 21st, 2009 Christopher Ryan Hicks finished his 24 years with his family and friends. Fierce and loving big brother to Jonathan and Kathryn, captivating first born son of De and Julie, strong and devoted ally to many, co-owner and Founder of Rottweiler Bikes, Christopher stands out as our example of a perfect man. His profound love of family and friends, his passion for life, his pure devotion to God and his unceasing resilience have enriched and inspired countless people. To spend an hour or a lifetime with Christopher was never enough. Nothing could ever really start until Chris arrived. His brilliant smile, keen intellect, insatiable curiosity, robust sense of humor and alluring playful spirit left us uplifted, strengthened and refreshed. And, Christopher's uncritical love made us all feel safe. Chris' love of beauty expressed itself in photography, the written word and graphic design and his dog Vegas. Every inch of Rottweiler Bikes, his company, is an expression of his creativity and tenacity. "I'm living the dream!" he would often exclaim. His deep passion, love and devotion expressed itself nowhere more fully than when he spoke of his brother Jonathan or his sister Kathryn. With unshakable loyalty and strength, Chris glowed as he spoke of Jon and Katie as his best friends. To know them is to know the heart of Christopher. Chris made his father, De, a stronger and more faithful man; he made his mother, Julie, a sweet lover of the many joys of life.
